TRC Receives $15 Million in New Contracts for Its Energy Efficiency Programs
TRC Companies Inc.’s Energy Services division, announced two new contract awards, totaling $15 million, for the expansion of its award-winning energy efficiency programs with NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) and the New Jersey Office of Clean Energy.
Under the new contracts, TRC will continue its award-winning work with NYSERDA’s Multifamily Performance Program that offers incentives to construct and retrofit multifamily buildings using energy efficient technologies and practices that reduce energy costs and carbon emissions. TRC will also design and implement new energy efficiency programs for the New Jersey Office of Clean Energy, including a Local Government Energy Audit, Pay for Performance and TEACH™—a new ‘Teaching Energy Awareness with Children’s Help’ energy education program.
“Our efforts on these programs will improve the energy efficiency of buildings across New York and New Jersey,” said Frank Reilly, Senior Vice President and Director of TRC Energy Services. “Under TRC program management, over the next 18 months more than $240 million in incentives will drive energy efficiency upgrades through these programs.”
“We continue to expand TRC’s portfolio of energy services as we address our nation’s most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence. TRC’s interdisciplinary approach combines the technical expertise of building scientists and engineers with the market expertise of economists and business analysts. As a company, we remain committed to the development of innovative energy efficiency programs that combine environmental responsibility with strong economic growth,” concluded Reilly.
